Automatic Grade/Year Advancement

Grade levels don't advance automatically right now — families have to manually update each student's grade every year, which is a quick edit but an extra manual step. Prospect Christine (Living Legacy Academy) asked about this on Aug 2, and we told her it's on our roadmap.

Expanded scope (Sept 14): the real prerequisite is a director-defined grade/age ladder in Settings — right now grade is free text with no authoritative ordered list, so there's nothing for a rollover to advance along. Directors need to define their own sequence (including grades below Kindergarten some co-ops use, like Pre-K3/Pre-K4) and choose grade-based or age-based organization. Once that list exists: bump each student's grade/year level at the start of a new school year (configurable rollover date), notify families of the change, and let admins review/adjust before it's finalized in case of retention or grade skips.
