Add your children: health, pickup and what teachers see

This article helps you add your children and choose which health and pickup details their teachers see.

Before you start

  • You must be the main parent on the family account. A second parent can view children but cannot add or change them.

Add a child

  1. Go to My children in the menu.
  2. Click Add a child.
  3. Fill in First name, Age and Grade level, then click Save child.
  4. In Parental Consent Required, check the box confirming you are the child's parent or legal guardian, then click Confirm and Continue.

Add health, emergency and pickup details

  1. On My children, click your child's name to open their card. (You can also get here from Settings → Children.)
  2. Under Basics, add Last name, Date of birth and T-shirt size.
  3. Under Health and safety, fill in Allergies, Medical conditions, Medications and Dietary restrictions.
  4. Under Emergency, add the Contact name, Phone and Relationship.
  5. In Authorized pickup, type the names of everyone allowed to pick up your child. This is one free-text box.
  6. Under Permissions, turn Photo / media consent on or off.
  7. Click Save changes.

Choose what teachers see

Next to each health field, Emergency and Authorized pickup is a switch: Visible to (your child)'s teachers. All six start on. Turn one off to hide it from teachers, then click Save changes. Your director always sees everything, whatever you choose.

What happens next

Each card shows Complete or Missing details. Teachers see the details you share on the child's student page, and an allergy or medical note is flagged on the class list. A second parent on your account can see all of these details. You can now register your child for classes.

Common problems

  • A warning appeared when you hid allergies? Teachers won't see it. Keep anything that affects your child's safety in class visible.
  • No Add a child button? You are signed in as the second parent. Ask the main parent.
  • Need to remove a child? Message your director.
  • Your director already added your children? Today asks you to confirm each one, or choose This is not my child.
  • Register your child for classes
  • How your family's and children's data is protected
  • What you can see about children, and why
