Add co-directors

This article helps you invite up to 5 people to help run your co-op with director access.

Before you start

• You are the owner (the person who created the co-op). Only the owner adds and removes co-directors.
• Co-directors work on every plan, including Free.
• Each person can direct only one co-op on LearningSense.

Turn on co-directors

1. Go to Settings → Tools.
2. Under People, turn on Co-directors.

Invite a co-director

1. Go to Settings → Co-directors (on the Account card).
2. Under Invite a co-director by email, type their email.
3. Click Invite co-director. You see Invitation sent.

What happens next

They get an email with a link. If they already have an account, they sign in with the invited email and are added. If not, they fill in their name and a password and click Create account and accept. Until then, their row says Invited, hasn't accepted yet. After they accept, it says Co-director.

Co-directors can do almost everything you can, including Invoices, Payments and Reports. Only the owner issues refunds, opens Payouts, changes Subscription, How families pay or Billing schedule, deletes the co-op, or adds and removes co-directors.

Remove someone

1. On Settings → Co-directors, click Remove next to a co-director, or Cancel invite next to an invite.
2. Confirm. A removed co-director loses director access right away.

A co-director can leave on their own with Leave this co-op. Their account stays, and you can invite them again later.

If you turn Co-directors off in Tools, every co-director loses access right away. Nothing is deleted.

Common problems

• It says You've reached the limit of 5. Remove someone to invite another person.? Invites waiting to be accepted count toward the 5. Cancel one or remove someone.
• It says That person already runs or co-directs another co-op on LearningSense. Each person can direct one co-op.? They need to leave the other co-op first, or use a different email.
• Your invite email didn't arrive? Ask them to check spam. The invitation must be accepted with the same email you typed.
• You can send up to 10 co-director invites in 24 hours.
