This article helps you accept your teaching invitation, sign in and find your classes.
Before you start
- Your director sends you an email invitation, often for a specific class.
- Are you also a parent in the co-op? Use the same email as your family account, and see the article on teaching as a parent.
Steps
- Open the invitation email and click the link. The page says your director invited you to teach.
- Click Sign up with Google, or fill in First name, Last name, Create a password and Confirm password. Your Email is filled in from the invitation.
- Click Accept Invitation.
- You land on Today. Next time, sign in at learningsense.org with the same email.
Find your way around
- Today: tiles for Classes this term, Students this term and today's classes, plus what needs you, such as attendance not taken, Health notes for today and Work to grade. Coming up and Recent activity sit below.
- Teaching: My classes, Assignments to grade (if your co-op uses grades) and Calendar.
- Students: every child in your classes.
- Community: Messages and Announcements.
- Me: Settings, with My account, Email notifications and Privacy & data.
- On a phone, tabs run along the bottom: Today, My classes, Students and Messages. Tap More for the rest.
A Parents Day Out program uses its own words, like My rooms.
What happens next
Open a class from My classes. Its page has Message my class, New announcement, I can't make it and Take attendance buttons, and tabs for Roster, Attendance, Materials, Announcements and Discussion. Use I can't make it to tell your director about a day you'll miss; it arrives in their Messages.
Common problems
- This invitation isn't valid? The link was used or expired. Ask your director to send a new one.
- Asked to use the invited address? Sign out and sign in with the email the invitation went to.
- Told an account already exists? Sign in instead, then open the invitation link again.
- No classes yet? Your director hasn't linked you to a class. Ask them.
