Find your way around

This article shows you where everything lives in the director menu.

The menu

On a computer, the menu runs down the left side, grouped under small headings. Settings is pinned to the bottom.

  • Today: what needs you, today's classes, this month's finances, recent activity and upcoming events.
  • People: Families & students, Teachers & staff and Join requests (families who asked to join from your website).
  • Program: Semesters, Classes, Report cards, Calendar & events and Documents.
  • Finances: Invoices, Payments and Reports.
  • Community: Messages, Announcements and Volunteering.
  • Settings: a page of cards called Program, Tuition & fees, Website and Account.

Menu words follow your program. A Parents Day Out program sees Sessions (not Semesters), Rooms (not Classes) and Caregivers & staff (not Teachers & staff).

Find things fast

  1. Use the search box at the top to find families, students, teachers and staff, classes and semesters by name.
  2. Click + New at the top for shortcuts: Add a family, New class, Send an invoice, Post an announcement and Add an event.
  3. In Settings, type in Find a setting, like billing day to jump straight to a setting.

On a phone

Tabs sit along the bottom: Today, Semesters, Families, Invoices and News (announcements). Tap More for everything else.

What happens next

If you turn a tool off in Settings → Tools, its menu item disappears for you and your families. Nothing is deleted, and it comes back when you turn the tool on again.

Common problems

  • A menu item is missing? Its tool is probably off. Check Settings → Tools.
  • Report cards is missing? It only shows when Assignments & grades is on.
  • You're a co-director and can't find Subscription, How families pay or Billing schedule? Only the owner sees those.
  • Your menu says Sessions or Rooms? That comes from your program type in Program profile.
  • Set up your program in your first hour
  • Turn tools on and off, and what each plan includes
  • Choose your program type and the words families see
